Our group of 33 students, representing over eight different Pasifika cultures performed an entertaining and popular set at the Christchurch Polyfest festival.

The group is to be commended for their hard work and commitment practising every night after school and weekends in the build up to the performance.  Rosebud Fifita and the other Pasifika leaders brought the group together and created a sense of belonging to Pasifika culture and Burnside High School.  Greg Galovale and Wesley Fifita were outstanding tutors and both have been reappointed for 2020.  Wes is a former student and his time volunteering was greatly appreciated. Thank you to all the staff and whānau for their support and encouragement.

For students interested in joining the group practices for 2020 are every Thursday after school in G5.
