New Zealand Programming Contest Success

Steven Rodkiss —

Twenty students competed on Saturday 19th of August for Burnside High School in the New Zealand Programming Contest.

The competition saw 79 teams from across the country compete online from several locations including Auckland, Wellington and Hamilton in multiple age groups including High School, University Students and Open.

All the participants are listed below, but a special mention must go to team “#77E1DC” who came 5th overall in the high school grade. Also, Leon Wu, a massively talented year 9 student managed to come 6th overall despite being in a team on his own.

This was an awesome effort from everyone involved and congratulations to all competitors for getting involved in this. We look forward to further successes in the future. If you are keen to get involved, contact rds@burnside.school.nz or come along to programming club every Tuesday lunchtime in A11.
