Golden start to the year for the Beach Volleyball Team.

Congratulations to Taylah Holdem and Rosa Vesty who won the Senior Girls division at the Beach Volleyball NZ Secondary Schools Championships in Mt Maunganui, on Saturday 06 and Sunday 07 February. Last year the girls won the Year 11 Girls Division 1 National Championship.

The whole Burnside High School team competed extremely well:

• Anaya and Alannah were 9th equal in Division 1,
• Kelly and Becky were 11th equal in Division 1,
• Cathy and Mya placed 9th equal in Division 2.

Our Beach Volleyball pairing of Rosa Vesty and Taylah Holdem also competed in the Christchurch Super Slam event in Cathedral Square, as part of the New Zealand Beach Tour, February 19 - 21. This was also an Olympic Qualifying event.
