BHS Dance did so well!

After our BHS Dance Showcase on August 13th, there was no rest for our Hip Hop crew ‘Defiant’ who went and attended the NZCAF Regional Hip Hop Championships the next day. They were incredible!!! 

We came away with:

1st Mega Crew

And an award for Most Promising Crew.

This team is comprised of a collection of students from Year 10-13 and a mixture of those with lots of training and some with absolutely none! They represented Burnside exceptionally well and we could not be prouder. So now this is a second set of Nationals we have qualified for! (Thank goodness these are in Chch this year)

A special thanks to Emma Peterson for looking after the students and supporting them on the day so I could judge. Also very special thanks to Keyana Beecroft for her support and coaching of the team. The students appreciated both of your support and were so thankful of your help- always above and beyond.
