World Scholars Cup

Mrs S Pooch —

Burnside High School Gifted students excelled at this event

The artist Austin Kleon once advised his students, “Draw the art you want to see, play the music you want to hear, write the books you want to read, build the products you want to use.”

In designing the World Scholar’s Cup, the organising team have kept something similar in mind and designed a programme to challenge the exceptional students.

An amazing group of our young people participated in this weekend event. This was the first round ever to be held in Christchurch.

William Wray 10NTEM was the top Junior Scholar which is the top award.

Senior Boys team with Leon Meier 11WWNB, Joseph Fullerton 11WWNB and Joseph Grace 11SCSS were placed second Senior team. They were impressive in all sections of the competition.
