Year 12 and 13 Tourism students attended this amazing expo!

On Tuesday 9th of May a group of tourism students went to an event called TRENZ at the Te Pae Convention Centre.

First we met in the main entrance foyer with some teachers from our school so we could get some lanyards and then we went to have a delicious morning tea with other students and they welcomed us.

We heard from some industry speakers and did activities including a VR experience which was awesome! We also did a TRENZ walk through, and a Te Pae walk through to see all the exciting exhibits for Tourism. This was followed by some lunch. After lunch we did job seeking in tourism sessions and after that we got to ask questions to tourism businesses about their jobs and what they do for a living. Then we watched a video on tourism as a career. We left inspired and excited about the future of Tourism in NZ and really enjoyed this opportunity.
