The Girls' 1st XI Football team kicked off an exhilarating season with a blend of fresh energy and renewed determination.

Under the guidance of their new coach, Andrew Bull, the team embarked on a journey of camaraderie, skill-building, and competitive spirit. Andrew's passion for the game and coaching expertise infused the team with a renewed sense of purpose. With his guidance, the team underwent a transformation, embracing new strategies and honing their skills to tackle challenges head-on.

This season marked a milestone for the team as it welcomed several new faces, each bringing unique talents and a hunger for success. The amalgamation of experienced players and new recruits fostered a dynamic environment where learning and growth thrived.

Despite the initial challenges of adapting to a new lineup, the team showcased commendable resilience and commitment throughout the season, playing in the Mainland Football Premier Girls competition on Wednesdays, they secured a commendable 7th position, a testament to their perseverance and evolving teamwork.

The pinnacle of their season was the Gary Sowden Girls' tournament held in Blenheim during Winter Tournament Week. Facing off against 15 formidable teams, our girls exhibited extraordinary determination and skill, culminating in a remarkable 6th place finish. The tournament not only showcased their prowess on the field but also strengthened their bond as a cohesive unit, reinforcing the importance of teamwork and sportsmanship.

Beyond the wins and losses, what defined this season was the unwavering spirit and unity displayed by the girls. Each match was a testament to their relentless effort, their unyielding support for one another, and their commitment to representing our school with pride and sportsmanship.
