Celebrating the achievements and dedication of our multi-talented music students

On Tuesday, October 17th, the Aurora Centre was filled with music and applause to celebrate the accomplishments of our 2023 music students.

The night began with a performance by the multi-award-winning Jazz Combo 10. The ceremony then included performances from the Jazz Combo as well as the successful choir, Magna Voce. The night also included inspirational addresses by our Principal, Mr Scott Haines, and BHS Alumni Kate King, who recorded a heartfelt message from her home in London where she is studying for her Masters in Orchestral Performance at the Guildhall School of Music.

Certificates were awarded for Service to Music (based on a minimum of two years continued involvement in an ensemble or a leadership role) and Achievement in Music (based on awards earned in competitions etc. throughout 2022). With the year finally including most of the contests and events that were planned, there was an impressive total of 232 students awarded on the night.

Congratulations to all staff and students of the music department on a successful 2022!
