Canterbury Youth Awards Winners!
The organisers of the very successful BHS conferences Into Motion and Model UNs were winners in the Youth Voice Canterbury Te Tohu Tokomaha Awards.
Youth Voice Canterbury organised the second ever Youth Awards this year. The Gala event celebrated youth and the important and unique contribution they make to society. Burnside High School gained two awards on the night; the above students for their work with the two conferences, and also our very own Harriet Fraser 11SCTH, who was runner up in the YMCA Young Champion Award. This award is for a young person who has made a positive change in their life and inspired their peers in a positive way and succeeded in the face of adversity.
