On the 25-28th of August a BHS Drama team attended the South Island Finals of Theatrefest. These were held in Dunedin and having made it through the regional competition a little trip down south was just what we needed. Our scene was directed by Kate Olliver and was from Michaelle Foster's play “Daughters of Heaven”. We were determined to make the most of the trip and had a great time at the Steampunk Museum and the Butterfly enclosure at the Dunedin Museum. The team consisted of Gray Dawson, who won an excellence award for their acting, Bridie Blundell and our good friend Nelly Campbell-Reeves who goes to Hagley College. We also won an award for the Best Ensemble which we were pretty happy about!
