Burnside High School is very proud of the students who excel in Mathematics.

We had three Year 9 and three Year 10 teams of four competing in the regional Cantamath Competition. These teams were selected from our Interclass competition which showcased our very top junior mathematicians. 

All our teams were highly competitive on the night in a tight competition at the top. Alas no trophies but amazing performances nevertheless (and of course they were superb ambassadors for the school)

Special thanks to the fifteen Burnside High School Year 12 and 13 students who gave up their time as markers for this event.

Lisa Ho 10WFRC as a Year 9 student in 2022 designed the willing logo for this year. In 2023 she received the award for this including copies of her design as the poster for this year.

Highly Commended Awards were given to display work by Danielle Taylor 10NSMG, Lizzie Howe 10NRSS Luke Harrison 10STNZ and Ava Mackay 10STNZ.

As always it is great to see students loving mathematics and challenging themselves to excel.
