Rozz Guillemot —

Check out this new online course for teen athletes who may be feeling anxious without sport in their lives at the moment. Also included is information about a new webinar series designed for coaches involved with youth sport.

Although Brooke's target audience is normally young females, the tips and strategies in her new course will be helpful for anyone who is struggling without sport in their lives.

Free Mind & Body Tools for Young Athletes in Lockdown

"I'm Brooke Neal, NZ Hockey Player, Olympian and Founder of All About Balance. I work with young female athletes on their mental well-being."

Brooke has put together a bunch of free mind and body tools to help ease some of the unhelpful thoughts that our young athletes might be having during this time. Here are some common comments she has been hearing from teen athletes since we went into lockdown:

  • Lack of Purpose Thoughts

“I’m missing my sport. I feel so lost without it”

“I have no motivation to get out of bed in the morning because I have nowhere to be!”

  • Guilty Thoughts

“I always feel like I should be doing more training in lockdown than what I am doing”

“Some days I don’t achieve much at all and I feel so lazy”

  • Uncertain Thoughts

“All of my goals are useless since everything has been changed”

“I’m scared my sport won’t be allowed to start for a long time”

  • Anxious Thoughts

“It’s hard to switch off when I go to sleep - my thoughts keep me awake”

“I feel really overwhelmed and it’s hard to process all this information”
