Many of the Secondary Schools competitions have been amalgamated with club competitions so it has been a little difficult to keep up with our gymnasts efforts and achievements. Here is a selection of results of some of their amazing achievements that we have been able to collate. Congratulations to all our gymnasts!


  • Paris Chin 13PZS won the NZSS Senior International Women's Rhythmic Gymnastics Championships, a number of other international competition, along with being selected in the NZ 2022 Commonwealth Games team to compete at Birmingham. Paris placed 12th overall in the Rhythmic Gymnastics at the Commonwealth Games. Her outstanding efforts earnt her a Zonta Award in Category 4 and the Burnside High School Principal's Award for Outstanding Achievement in Sport.
  • Adam Lim 10SWGJ won the New Zealand Secondary Schools (NZSS) Men's Level 5 Artistic Gymnastics Championships. 
  • Elle Ilkiw 12WMRI placed 4th in the Womens' Level 10 Rhythmic Gymnastics competition at the CSS Championships and 6th in the Womens' Level 10 Rhythmic Gymnastics competition at the NZSS Championships.
  • Nicola McLachlan 10NSMT placed 4th in the DMT (Double Mini Trampoline) at the CSS Championships.
  • Miki Hongo 9NGRK placed 4th in the Womens' Level 8 Rhythmic Gymnastics competition at the CSS Championships.
  • Hana Gray 13OYL placed 5th in the Womens' Level 10 Rhythmic Gymnastics competition at the CSS Championships.
  • Grace Kavanagh 10NMRC placed 5th in the Womens' Level 9 Rhythmic Gymnastics competition at the CSS Championships.
  • Cole Stevens 13 SRT represented Canterbury at the NZ Gymnastics Nationals Competition in Invercargill. He competed at Level 8 in the Men's Artistic Gymnastics competition, placing 2nd All Around. On the individual apparatus, Cole placed 1st on pommel, 2nd on floor and 3rd on high bar.
