On Monday 27th August all Year 10 Art students and the entire Art department staff embarked on a trip to visit the Christchurch City Art Gallery.

 This was a fantastic opportunity for students to see first-hand the wide range of New Zealand Art on display. Highlights included the current exhibition of New Zealand artist Tony de Lautour, who is one of the artists studied in the Year 10 programme.

Students were given an insightful talk on de Lautour’s work by the gallery curator Peter Vangioni who shared his extensive knowledge of the art works with the students. The groups were accompanied by Ms Bashford, Ms Braithwaite, Mr Deavoll, Mrs Delaney, Ms Dwyer, Mr Summers and Mr Tellick.
