BHS had some stand out swimmers at the Christchurch Secondary Schools Swimming!

Soeren Wells was awarded the most outstanding junior swimmer at this meet. At 14yrs he won the open 200m Freestyle against much older competitors as well as winning his age grade 100m Freestyle. Alex Gibson missed out on an age group freestyle record by one hundredth of a second. Hamish Inwood was in contention and unlucky not to receive a top senior swimmer of the meet award with his open and age grade wins in the Butterfly. Our Boys Open Relay Teams (medley and freestyle) came second to Christ College in both events but beat all other single sexed and coeducational schools in Christchurch at this event. Ray Suzuki, Luke McCallum, Alex Gibson and Soeren Wells along with Hamish Inwood  represented our school with distinction. Ray Suzuki needs to be acknowledged for his performance as a specialist in the sprint freestyle races along with Stacey Morgan, Ava Renner, Lukas Dewit and Soomin Song on their Age grade titles.
