Congratulations to Phil Holstein

The Burnside High PTA would like to extend their warmest congratulations to Phil Holstein on his receipt of Woolf Fisher Trust Fellowship Award.

We are all aware of his wonderful performance in his role as Principal of Burnside High School, and the benefits of the of this prestigious award will be shared by staff and students who already have great pride in their school under his leadership.

Uniform Shop Sales

The Burnside High School Uniform Shop has extended their opening hours over December 2019 and January 2020 to help new and current families with their uniform requirements. For a better shopping experience, we will be open for more days.

The uniform shop is located in A block, adjacent to the staff carpark off Greers Road on the school grounds. It is run by the PTA and volunteers.

The shop stocks all-new uniform items at very competitive prices and also has an extensive range of second-hand uniforms. We are the only stockists of fitted shorts and trousers as well as the new style PE Uniform.

• Payment is by EFTPOS (debit card only) or cash.
  
• Uniform quotes are also available.
  

In addition to the extended December and January hours, the shop is open every Monday lunchtime 1 pm – 2 pm and every Tuesday after school from 2.45 pm – 4.00 pm, term time only.

All profits go towards school projects.

For this to be a success WE NEED YOU! 

We need volunteers to help set up on Tuesday 10 December (during the day) and during the opening hours (see below) to assist families in purchasing a uniform.

If you wish to sell uniform items, please bring them to the Student Office or the Uniform Shop during our opening hours. We can only accept uniforms that are current, clean and in good condition. Please complete the sales form under Parents/PTA on Moodle.

PTA Funding Projects 2019

PTA funds come from the voluntary annual PTA donation that appears on your school invoice. These funds are allocated to those school projects which meet our funding criteria. The PTA does not undertake any other fundraising so we really appreciate your contribution.

We are happy that in 2019 we were able to fund about 20 projects with a total of $50.000 from the parent's donations and three more projects with $16.000 coming from the uniform shop’s profits.

Both amounts set a new record to PTA’s contribution to Burnside High School.”
