Burnside High School —

For over 60 years, Burnside High School has had a proud tradition of our sporting students competing with distinction at a local, regional and national level.

Our New Zealand Roll of Honour is extensive and varied with a large number of our students representing New Zealand in their chosen fields.

Burnside High School provides a sporting environment which caters for our diverse school community, by providing a variety of sporting activities for all students regardless of whether their goal is to win, learn new skills, make friends or just have fun.  The Sports Department, along with Teachers in Charge, Coaches, Managers and Parents, all devote time, energy and expertise to ensure that Burnside High School students have over 40 exciting sporting codes on offer.  We encourage and support both participation-orientated and elite athletes alike.
