A glorious showcase of our choral talent

 After a successful year, with top awards achieved at The Big Sing for both Bel Canto and Magna Voce, the final showcase for our choral programme happened on October 19th in St Mary's Pro-Cathedral. The concert was a chance for the singers to perform in both their own choirs and in combinations of the different vocal types, allowing for experiences of the many genres possible in choral singing. 

A special moment came with the performance of our Year 13 choir, consisting of all the senior students who are graduating this year, in a poignant rendition of "Weep No More". Another highlight was the performance by SMP vocal students Jacob Craw and Shannon Shi with the accompaniment of a chamber orchestra conducted by Alan Kao. The evening also showcased several student conductors, including Elle Ilkiw, Bella Hopkins and Max Wallace.
