This year we had a small group of Squash players who played in the weekly Canterbury Secondary Schools' Squash competition over the winter months.

This year we had two teams who played every Wednesday over Terms 2 and 3:

A Grade Section 1 team - James O'Keefe, Ryan Gillman and Saya Stratton.

A/B Grade Section 2 team - Lila Allred, Will Moor, Cole Stevens and Danielle Wray.

James, Ryan and Saya also represented Burnside High School at the Canterbury Secondary Schools' Squash Individual Championships in May. They also played against Ashburton College, down in Ashburton this year, in the annual winter sports exchange.

Special thanks to Michelle Tapp, ex-student, who managed the team who played at the Burnside Squash Club every Wednesday. Her help has been invaluable.

Here's hoping we get some new Squash players next year to boost numbers for this sport.
