We have had a successful year for our group of air pistol shooters, even though we had a late start to the year due to the unfortunate event at the mosques. Our thoughts are with those who lost loved ones and to the injured.

Our consistent group of 10 shooters have improved in their sport over the year. Unfortunately we did not compete in the Asburton College exchange this year due to the illness of their coach. However, we had three students compete in the Christchurch Pistol Club's ISSF Championships. Isaac Stark won the Junior Men's Air Pistol and Lennart Holzenkampfer was placed third. Charlotte Mainwaring won the Junior Women's Air Pistol.

Our most successful result this year was the silver medal won by the Burnside A Team in the New Zealand Secondary Schools' Air Pistol competition - the McMillan Cup. The team was Jamie Lester, Adam Venroy and Isaac Stark. Jamie Lester was placed 5th in New Zealand in the individual rankings. Well done to all the competitors.
