Unfortunately once again this year, our Burnside High School Cycling Team was smaller than in other years with a number of senior riders choosing to focus on their studies this year. The Road Cycling team consisted of Tim Currey, Robbie Cochrane and Ray Suzuki. Sadly, Ray was injured early in the season and was unable to complete the season. 

As in other years the competition took place out on Old Tai Tapu Road, with the Canterbury Secondary Schools Championships taking place as part of the weekly riding.  The riding was once again disrupted in Term 3, with the Covid Alert Level change restricted gatherings to less than 100. 

The team all rode extremely well, gaining some great experience racing against some very well drilled teams from the Boys' schools here in Christchurch.
