Three teams entered the weekly Canoe Polo League, held at Lake Roto Kohatu each Wednesday afternoon during Term 1 & 4.

Canoe Polo is a game of two 10 minute halves. Teams of five players aim to shoot a ball into the opposition's goal, suspended above the water of a rectangular court.  Canoe polo combines canoeing and ball handling skills with an exciting contact team game, where tactics and positional play are as important as the speed and fitness of the individual players.

This year we have welcomed a number of new players to the sport. With the Term 1 league over, students are looking forward to competing in the SISS Championships, held in Oamaru in August.
