Our Burnside A team won the Canterbury Secondary Schools' Stroke Play Teams Championships played at the Bottle Lake Golf Club on Monday 08 March. This win qualified the team, comprised of Jeff Choi, Yuki Miya, Amy Weng and Felix Nguyen, to compete at the NZ Secondary Schools Final on Monday 30 August in Auckland, at the Titirangi Golf Club. Unfortunately, due to Covid restrictions, this tournament was cancelled. 

To add to this success, the weekend previous of 06 - 07 March, was the Canterbury Match Play Championships held at the Templeton Golf Club, where two Burnside students won their age groups:

Felix Nguyen - Boys U19 Winner

We were unable to compete in the Match Play Team Championships on Monday 20 September at the Coringa Golf Club, due to our school's rescheduled mock exams.

We farewell Amy Weng, who is our only Year 13 student, and thank her for her five years representing Burnside High School so well, and wish her all the best with her university studies and golf career!

We are fortunate that we have young players still coming through to keep our golfing teams at a high standard.
