In March, Ray Suzuki represented Burnside High School in the South Island Secondary Schools Triathlon Championships in Oamaru. Ray competed extremely well in this event, improving on his time from last year by over 2 minutes.  Ray placed 4th in the U16 Boys competition - a fantastic achievement considering he only turned 14 in November 2020.  

Ray, along with Will Knight, also competed at the Canterbury Secondary Schools Triathlon Championships on Sunday 28 November.  This event was held at Lake Rua here in Christchurch, in terrible weather conditions. Both boys did themselves proud, persevering and completing the course in the difficult conditions.
