Term 2 in the Library

Sally Stanley-Boden —

Busy times and some great activities.

The Library has been busy and students have been producing plenty of work.  I'm sure I've heard the Library printers groaning during the last few weeks!  Over 55,000 students and 600 classes came through the library during the term.   The Library opens at 7.15am during the two colder terms and Mrs Grinter always has students waiting outside the doors as she opens up.

Book Week was held in Week 7 this term.  Activities in the Library and round the school were enjoyed by students, with runners with Litquiz answers racing into the Library from form times, and people hunting for the dastardly Booknappers around the school!  Things culminated with a great selection of book characters being portrayed by students and staff on Friday.

Midyear term holidays can sometimes be cold and miserable.  What better than a good book to snuggle up with? If you forgot to grab one before the end of term, you can go online and borrow an eBook on your device.  You just need an internet connection and your student number and password.  Go online with the Wheelers eplatform (https://burnside.wheelers.co/).

Looking forward to a busy and fun Term 3.
