6x students have gained their PADI Open Water Dive Certificate through diving in Kaikoura

This year students have been offered a PADI Open Water Dive ticket, run through Dive HQ. To date, six students have been put through the certification, which involves learning about the theory behind diving, then demonstrating competence in the practical aspect of diving.  Students did their pool training sessions in the Rolleston pool followed by a weekend away diving in Kaikoura. 

Students going on to study marine science or who are interested in aquaculture benefit from having diving experience.
