Table Tennis

This team, comprised of senior students Jiayi Zhou and Sang-Yong Park, along with younger students Aarya Advilkar, Johnny Bae and Parth Gaikwad, were far stronger than any other team they played from other Canterbury schools.

Because of Covid, the NZ Secondary Schools Championships, scheduled to be in Hamilton this year over Winter Tournament Week, was cancelled. It would have been a great send-off to our long standing Y13 students (Jiayi Zhou, Sang-Yong Park, Zac McKellar and Dan Jefferies) who have been members of this team since they were junior students. Jiayi and Sang-Yong are our long-standing NZ representatives in this sport also.

In the Wednesday competition over Terms 2 and 3, we had six teams entered, and games were mostly held at Table Tennis Stadium in Blenheim Road.
