BHS Road Cycling 2020 — Jun Gu, Thomas James and Robbie Cochrane
Rozz Guillemot — November 8, 2020
This year the Canterbury Secondary Schools Road Cycling competition was only able to take place during Term 3, unfortunately due to a change in the Covid Levels two weeks into racing, the team was only able to compete in three weeks of racing.
Our Burnside Team was smaller than other years with a number of senior riders choosing to focus on their studies this year. The Road Cycling team consisted of Thomas James (Team Captain), Jun Gu and Robbie Cochrane.
The team all rode extremely well, with a highlight being Robbie (paired with a Hillmorton student) winning the U16 Boys Team Trial race.
We are looking forward to having a more settled season next year, with a lot more rubber hitting the road.
A big thank you to Nathan James (ex-BHS student) who met with the boys every week and rode to and from the racing venue with the team.
