BHS Nationals trip 2020 by Burnside High

With 2 Supreme winners and several other awards, the Burnside Dance NZ Made team had a wonderful weekend in Palmerston North
Burnside had an incredibly successful weekend away at the Dance NZ Made Championships from September 18th-20th. These championships are a competition where the best dancers from schools all over the country are represented and took place over Friday night and all day Saturday. There were three events that we were entered into: Duos, Solos, and Teams.
Congratulations to the following winners:
Jungmin Jo and Charlise Phillips - 2nd place in Year 11-13 duo
Molly Brown - Winner of Year 10 solo
Earl Jr Segua - Winner of Year 12 solo and Overall Supreme Soloist (out of 60 soloists). This means he gets a trip to LA (when COVID ends) to train with some of the best in the Dance industry.
BHS Team (Jungmin Jo, Molly Brown, Meg Carter, Millie Lamond-Aird, Holly Brixton) - Winner of NZ Open team and Overall Supreme Team (out of 50 teams). This came with a prize of $1000.
Congratulations also to the dancers who did an amazing job in their categories:
Alyssa Tabley - Year 12 solos
Natalie Wu and Annelise Tu - Year 11-13 duo.
