2020 has been an amazing year for Burnside fencing.
Despite COVID-19 setbacks, we were able to compete against each other in Team and Individual competitions alike.
Our weekly training sessions were full of enthusiasm, commitment, fun, and hard work, with every member of the fencing team broadening their skills and developing entirely new perspectives on fencing and their abilities.
We had multiple small competitions, both within Burnside and outside of school, with other schools. Every member of Burnside Fencing was privileged with the opportunity of fencing against other schools and fencing in teams with peers and friends.
We enjoyed the help of experienced coaches and coaches-in-training who made our time learning to fence and developing our fencing skills delightful and efficient.
Fencing has been an unexpected and brilliant activity this year. Everyone in Burnside Fencing has made so many amazing friends this year, as well as learning and improving countless new skills.
