Mr Matt White, Deputy Principal

We congratulate Matt on his appointment as Principal of Wairarapa College in Masterton commencing in 2021.

In his five years with us, Matt has played a key role in his oversight of Māori and Pasifika Student Engagement.  Matt has developed a strong awareness of who he is; deepened his connection to his culture through te reo and tikanga; tino rangatiratanga (self-determination); whānaungatanga (relationships); aroha ki tangata (love); pono me te tika (honesty and truth). These key qualities have helped Matt to become who he is, and the Board of Wairarapa College recognised these qualities in choosing him as Principal. He lives and models our school values in thought, word and deed. We are very proud of him and wish him well, but we will miss you Matt.
