This year things have been so up and down, stop and start, back to front ... from our usual, hectic February to full lock-down by the end of March and then back to 'normal' now has been a big swing around.

40 Year 10 students attended the first Awesome Lab at the Ministry of Awesome back in March.

This was a fun, exciting event as always, held on the lower fields at school on 13-14 February.

Although local Softball was cut short and Summer Tournament Week cancelled due to Covid 19, the few games we had were fun, skillful and exciting

Burnside High School were one of the stand out performers at the annual Polyfest celebration on Saturday 14 March.

On Friday 13th - Sunday 15th March, the Rowing South Island Secondary School Champs were held at Lake Ruataniwha in Twizel. This is always a big regatta with lots of loud and enthusiastic spectators, and always proving to be a weekend full of strong competition.

Burnside High School and Christchurch Boys High School have been involved with Vex Robotics for more than 10 years and Canterbury were finally able to win this prestigious robotics competition. They both made it to the finals where Christchurch Boys High ended up as the Tournament champion after a nail biting final. This is a huge achievement for Canterbury as it is normally the North Island teams that succeed. Therefore, they qualified for the Worlds in Louisville, Kentucky in the USA from the 22-25 of April 2020.
