COVID-19 Pandemic Webinar

The three members of the Business South Legal Team will present a series of topics arising from the continuing COVID-19 pandemic, addressing issues that are specific to member business operations.
Dr Kathryn McAuley will talk about Phase 2 of the response to the outbreak and navigating the subsequent employee absenteeism, including the financial supports available to business.
Ronda Tokona will cover the use of Rapid Antigen Tests (RATs) and how this applies to businesses, including impacts on business planning especially staffing flow.
David Browne will discuss the staged border reopening and consider what that will look like, with a view to ensuring employers are prepared to capitalise on the opportunity to reconnect with the world.

Our Legal Team Manager, David Browne will be joined by fellow expert Paul Mackay, Business NZ’s Manager of Employment Relations Policy to discuss the latest employment law updates.
David will scope out recent changes to employment legislation affecting the workplace and review recent case law of interest. Paul will provide insights on the proposed fair pay agreements, the Holidays Act and changes affecting the use of contractors and the future of work, to name a few.
