Interested in learning more about your faith?

Richard Johnson —

This free online flexible learning programme from St John's Anglican Theological College is now available in the Diocese of Dunedin, beginning in March next year. All it costs is your time...

You can take the course for credit towards the New Zealand Diploma in Christian Studies or you can take the course for interest only, by attending the online classes and doing the readings.

The Semester 1 course will be The New Testament, taught on Wednesday evenings from March 13 to June 12 2019. This will be available completely online from home (or you will be able to view the recordings of the evenings if you can’t make the live online class). A group learning option will also be offered in Dunedin and Invercargill and others may wish to meet together, if feasible.

The content includes:

 The New Testament and its world.

 Interpreting the New Testament today- using tools.

 Gospels - Four portraits of Jesus.

 Focus on Matthew and application to our contexts.

 Focus on Luke and the beginnings of the church.

 Paul's letters and contemporary application.

 The Hebrew letters and their relevance today.

 Faith under threat, then and now.

Email Richard Johnson on allsaintsinvercargill@gmail.com if you would like to express an interest in learning about the New Testament or have questions about FlexiLearn.
