Friday Light

Bon Smith —

FUN, FOOD, FRIENDSHIP This is the motto of Friday Light, a ministry of St Luke’s on the Taieri, which has now be running for 12 years in Unity House which is adjacent to the church in Gordon Road, Mosgiel.

Every Friday night Friday Light members gather at 6pm for worship / teaching, a meal, plenty of chat, and the opportunity for prayer or just a listening ear. On average there is 20 to 30 folk attending. They come from a wide range of background and include a number might be described as “on the margins”.

We would welcome anyone who is interested in this ministry – please come along any Friday evening.

In particular, at the moment we are looking for people who would be willing to help in the kitchen on a rostered basis, normally from 5.30 or 6 until 8pm. For more information and / or a job description please contact Lindy (lindynevill@outlook.com or ph 489 4473) or Bon (bonsmith@xtra.co.nz or ph 489 3808).

Friday Light provides a safe place for many people. Anyone attending must be over the age of 16.

Is God calling you to be part of this ministry? Please pray. Come and check it out. We need you.
