St Martha’s Local Church (still the Diocese’s newest church?) has just turned 2 years old, and we are going through an exciting stage of growth and development.

Starting from no money, no assets and no members we are building up capacity but are still running as a house church on volunteer ministry and a shoe string budget. Problem: We don’t have the budget to cover the costs of sending our Ministry Leader, Rev’d Esther Clarke-Prebble, to Ministry Conference this year. Can you help? We know times are lean in most churches, but maybe some folk have the capacity to assist us. St Martha’s can pay 1/3 of cost, ie $50, so, for example if 4 other generous souls would contribute $25, Esther could attend. Also, we need a child-size server robe. Anyone got a spare one cluttering up your vestment cupboard?
