Over the past few months the Diocesan Council has been reviewing a new Child Protection Policy, which also includes Guidelines and Procedures i.e. what to do and how to do it.

A particular challenge has been the need to put into place some training around this. While this is still work in progress, the Council felt it was important to get the policy out for wider sharing and discussion. We will review this policy during 2019 and look to give some more information about potential training. We will also develop other resources such as reporting templates. 

In the meantime, there are useful resources and information in the policy document to bring to the attention of all vestries and local church committees.
