Memorial Service for Barbara Gillies.

Barbara, a much loved parishioner of St Michael's, recently died .

Good and faithful servant, rest in peace and rise in Glory.

A Memorial Eucharist is being held at St Michael's Anglican Church Elliot Street, Dunedin , 2 March Sunday 5 pm.

There will be space in the service for people to share fond stories about Barbara.

The service is followed by shared plate and cup of tea and coffee .

All are very welcome .

Community of the Cross of Nails (CCN) - Invitation from Rev'd Michael Holdaway, St Michael and All Angels, Otago Peninsula Parish

Please join with us on Sunday 23 March 2025 6pm Potluck tea, service at 7pm.

We have recently partnered with Knox Church and have been accepted as a member of the Community of the Cross of Nails, Coventry Cathedral. At this service, we will be presented with the Cross of Nails by Jane and Martin from Coventry. All welcome.

Movement and Meditation

Towards wholeness in body, mind and spirit

A Christian approach to healthy growth.

 

  • A weekly session of relaxation, de-stressing, stretching, breath control, movement, and careful strengthening exercise

  • Seeking to go inwards in order to go up into a deeper awareness of God’s presence and become more able to relate outwards as God calls us

  • Finishing with sharing with one another to develop our relational wholeness

  • With refreshments for those who can stay a little longer to converse

  • Seeking constant feedback to enhance the way we grow towards this wholeness

 

Registration is essential. This will be held on Wednesdays from 12 – 1pm in the St Michael’s Lounge (46 Elliot St, Andersons Bay). If you would like to join this group please call or text your name to Barbara 022 64 81 786 or email barbarano@gmail.com before 24th February. Maximum of 12 participants during the first 2 month trial period. Small koha requested for equipment and venue costs.

Meditative/contemplative prayer

Every Wednesday a time of meditative/contemplative prayer is offered in the small meeting room at Holy Cross Church – (access 5 Bellona St St Kilda.) We gather at 5.30 pm and move quickly into some stilling music and then 30 mins silent prayer. All are welcome to join us. The Wisdom Years A Reflective Retreat Day Offering A One-day Retreat for People 60 years+

There will be three sessions on life as “Wisdom School” Childhood The Working Years * Maturity and how we are guided.

When: Thursday 20 March 2025

Where: Lindisfarne Methodist Church Corner of Lindisfarne & Miller Street, Invercargill

Time: 10am to 3pm

What to bring: Own lunch. Pen & paper. Tea & Coffee provided
