ART AUCTION: to raise funds for the stained glass window in honour of Arnold Spencer-Smith: Thursday March 12th 5.30-7.30pm Community Gallery, 20 Princes St, Dunedin

A diverse selection of highly collectable artworks by leading artist will be auctioned. The auctioneer will be the actor, writer and producer Peter Hayden MNZM.
Entry is Free and refreshments will be provided.

There will be a selection of artworks for sale before the auction.
AUCTION VIEWING TIMES: 12pm-4pm Wednesday 11th March & 10am-4pm Thursday 12th March.


Equipping for Ministry and Shared Worship Opportunities

Quarterly Celtic-style Eucharist at St Paul's Cathedral - 

This is provisionally set down for the fourth Friday in the months of February, May, August and November. In 2020 that is 28 Feb, 22 May, 28 Aug and 27 Nov. Rev'd Mary Greet has confirmed she will be celebrating the Eucharist on 28 February at 12.10pm in the Chapter Room downstairs, accessible from the Octagon by the first side door, or internally by either of the two sets of stairs. We are pleased to welcome the new Dean, the Very Rev'd Dr Tony Curtis, to this our first gathering for the year – just a few days after his installation in the Cathedral (4pm Sunday 23rd). The autumnal / Lenten theme will be 'Testing times.'

Diocesan Lay Minister Training Day - Saturday 29 February 2020 9.30am - 4pm St Mark's Balclutha.

This Training Day is open to anyone in the Diocese who is interested in attending, but it is recognised as an essential part of the Licenced Lay Minister annual training requirements. Please see attached Registration form for details, there is no registration fee.

Registrations due by this Friday 21 February.


Lenten Quiet Day - a day set aside to prepare for Lent.

Saturday, 29th February 10am to 4pm.

All are welcome to a Retreat Day led by Rev’d Sandra Baird.

(Offered in conjunction with the Southern Coastal Deanery)

Venue: St Margaret’s Anglican Church, 4 Seaview Terrace Brighton.

Bring Bible, journal and pen if desired, bring your own lunch. Hot drinks provided.

Participants are invited to make an offering of a Koha to defray expenses.

Gospel of Luke: 8 weeks of 2hr online tutorials on Mondays from 27 Apr to 25 June.
Doing Theology: 12 weeks of 2hr online tutorials on Mondays from 20 July to 22nd of Oct.
Developing Inter-generational Community: 6 Weeks of 2hr online tutorials from 2Nov to 9 Dec.

CURSILLO 3 DAYS late afternoon 17 April - mid afternoon Monday 20 April @ St Peter's College Gore.

Cursillo is an Anglican spiritual Development program delivered in an Anglican Way. It includes talks mostly by lay persons, discussion, undergirded by worship, times of quiet contemplation and fun. Please make this event known in your congregation. Persons who attend must have a sponsor who can be any person who has attended a previous Cursillo 3Days. If there is any potential attendee unable to find a sponsor, please be in touch with Anne Gover. Cursillo has a system of forward financing and the cost of any person attending is already paid. Everyone attending is given the opportunity to make a donation to Cursillo.--- See attachments.

NIGHT CHURCH IN SOUTHLAND REMINDER - NIGHT CHURCH takes place on the 1st & 3rd Sundays of each month, 7pm at All Saints Invercargill. 2020 night church began on 2 February. Next night church is  1 March.
