Diocese of Nelson

“Come and grow a church in a growing community”

Are you the person that God is calling to journey with us as Vicar of the Anglican Parish of Richmond, to grow God's kingdom in our community? Although we have a conservative evangelical tradition, within our church we have a wide breadth of theological views. We have worked hard to become a safe, inclusive place and want to become more effective in our community with as many parishioners as possible exercising their spiritual gifts. We are looking for a skilled preacher and teacher, a person of prayer and spiritual insight, someone who is able to communicate vision and bring others into the vision. We are looking for a person who can discern where God is leading the parish and helping us spread the gospel in a way relevant to the 21st century.

An application form is available by emailing the Bishop's PA bishops.pa@nelsonanglican.nz

Closing date: Thursday, 17 January 2019

Diocese of Wellington

Vacancy: Parishes of Levin and Otaki: Fulltime Leader Vacancy (Closes 1 February 2019)

The Parishes of Levin and Otaki invite you to consider the opportunity of living and ministering on the Kapiti/Horowhenua coast. This is an exciting new venture for both parishes as we seek a new leader to help us grow into the future.

Our two parishes wish to remain independent but work together with a new model of ministry which we believe opens up tremendous and exciting opportunities for the proclamation of the Gospel and the growth of the Kingdom of God in this attractive region of Aotearoa.

We recognise that there will be challenges but we want to give ourselves the best opportunity to grow as the people of God.

We’re looking to welcome a new leader into 2019 who can work with both individuals and teams, developing a culture of congregational and ministry leaders who can develop individual spirituality, discipleship, leadership skills and capacity for service. We need someone who can build, develop, equip and support effective teams for ministry and mission who are able to see outside the boundaries of the church and willing to lead into growing communities.

There is a wide range of worship styles and existing lay-led ministries across the parishes with an enthusiastic group of lay leaders to support our new mission and ministry leader.

The person appointed will need to:

§ Work creatively to explore the best uses of our talents, facilities and finances

§ Be committed to the transformation of individuals and the wider community through the power of the Gospel

§ Have the ability to build, inspire, motivate and support teams

§ Be secure and well-formed in his/her own theology whilst recognising the diverse theological backgrounds evident in our worshipping communities

This position is fulltime with potential for a job sharing arrangement, also an option to live in either Levin or Otaki. If you would like to consider this God-given opportunity to come and minister with us in this part of God’s Kingdom, please email the Bishop’s EA, Rebecca Apperley on rebecca@wn.ang.org.nz for further information, including a detailed position description and profiles of the two parishes.

Applications, including CV’s should be sent to Rebecca Apperley by 1 February 2019 rebecca@wn.ang.org.nz
