Metrotest Course Outline

Metrotest training gives hands-on experience using a PAT (Portable Appliance Tester), safety inspection, and testing of electrical equipment in accordance with AS/NZS3760. Also included is information on safety requirements, features, and hazards of appliances. Attendees who pass the course will be issued a photo ID, a Competency Certificate, and a training manual. 

What to Bring

  • Bring a piece of electrical equipment relevant to your field for training during the course.
  • Portable Appliance Testers will be available to use – but if you already own a tester bring it with you!
  • Don’t buy a tester before the course – you’ll learn what to look for and how to make the right choice.
