CES Conferences - Why you need to be there

Wayne Jamieson —

Our dates for our 2022 conferences are confirmed and our offerings at all events include many of the workshops you have asked for. I know they will be educational, informative, and represent great value for money. We look forward to seeing you all again soon.

It seems only right in the 21st century, all staff in whatever environment, have the opportunity to undertake professional development training at some point during the year.

Everyone benefits, and I am always encouraged that your Principals are enlightened enough to see the rewards of this day of collegiality and professional development.

Every day we are faced with new ideas and challenges. Our conferences and workshops are designed to expand your work experience and help you face new experiences with commitment and energy.

So why come?

👩‍🏫 Take time out and invest in yourselves

The idea is that sometimes you have to take a break from the “work” of your work to sharpen your skills. Returning from conferences with new ideas and approaches will make you effective and efficient at work, improve your skillset and see some of the bigger picture issues within the Education environment.

💵 Cost

It's not expensive. Private enterprise conferences run for between $1800 and $2000 per day. Our fees are extremely reasonable for a day packed with all manner of learning opportunities, specifically catering to the education administration environment.

👩‍🎓 You do not know everything. Meet the experts who do!

Face-to-face time talking with experts in a workshop situation can only assist you in better work performance. You get better ideas, and talk with others in like situations who can influence you and change the way you do things. All for the better.

🎓 Networking Opportunities

We all recognise that social media is great and keeps us connected but there is no substitution for real-life experiences. Collegiality is a huge part of the day. You all work within silos. Here is an opportunity to have collective experiences and share common war stories and find connections. Invaluable!

📲 New Tools

You will see new Apps that make us faster, less prone to costly mistakes or give us some other sort of edge.

While undoubtedly these products can be found on their websites, it is great to get a hands-on demonstration or be able to ask questions.

🏢 Learning in a New Space

A different environment gets us away from sitting in the same chair, in the same office (or cubicle,) and that can keep us from fresh thinking and new ideas.

Breaking out of the office, and sitting in a new space can spark us to new approaches to everything work-related.

🛋 Break out of Your Comfort Zone

Going hand-in-hand with the previous reason, live events force you to break out of your comfort zone.

But breaking out of our comfort zones is just the type of action we need to take to break out of old ways of thinking.

👨‍🏫 The Energy of Like-Minded Colleagues

There’s nothing like being in a room of like-minded people. Other people who are willing to take time away from the office to learn something new. Other people who want to “better” themselves.

When you sit in a classroom or auditorium, you discover that you’re not alone in wanting to improve your skills and bring something back to your office.

That energy is lacking in all online learning channels.

It is admitting that you are worth it. It is admitting that you still have things to learn. That you can get better.

It is an investment in yourself and your career. When you come to our conference and you walk up to the registration desk, you are saying that you’re investing in your own growth.

🥪 Have Fun!

I’m not sure this is the most important of all these reasons, but I didn’t want to leave it off the list. Conferences are fun! Live events with other people are fun!

By sitting at lunch tables with people you don’t (yet) know. You will make amazing connections.

Don’t miss out on these opportunities.
