I'm Sandy Hastings, Principal at Beckenham Te Kura o Pūroto and I have the great privilege of being your new CPPA President. I look forward to serving you in this role as we head to the end of 2021, and into 2022.

I must begin with a huge 'thank-you' to Shane Buckner, our Immediate Past President, who took up the role again at the start of this year when there was no one else putting their hand up for the job. I know you all share with me in thanking Shane for his support, commitment and advocacy, and in wishing him well in his new principalship at Rangiora Borough.

Thank-you also to our CPPA Executive who continue to work tirelessly for our members. 

2021 has proved to be yet another challenging year to be a principal! It has required agile, collaborative and relentless leadership and has thrown new requirements at us that we could not have imagined pre-pandemic. Our thoughts continue to be with our North Island colleagues, particularly as they navigate re-opening their schools this coming week, alongside managing the requirements of the Vaccine Mandate.

In the interests of supporting your wellbeing, I strongly encourage you to join us at the final two CPPA events for the year...
