Seminar for Principals - Setting Ourselves Up for Success
NZEI Principal's workshop
A seminar for all NZEI Principal members (primary and area school) to be held in Christchurch run by your local Principal Support Officer and your Principal Council Representative.

Content of seminar:
- How we might address the key issues for principals that were not resolved in the 2019 principals’ collective agreements settlements. This will include discussion of Pūaotanga, the staffing inquiry commissioned by NZEI Te Riu Roa.
- Employment processes and the terms and conditions under which we appoint staff. This workshop will build on the joint work undertaken on fixed term appointments by NZEI Te Riu Roa and NZSTA.
- Strategies for dealing with complaints from parents and/or school communities, especially in the realm of social media.
There will also be an opportunity for you to raise any hot issues and let us know what topics you’d like to cover in future PLD offerings.
