Long time advocate and supporter of CPPA, David Beck is moving on.

Happy new year & I hope you are well rested and looking forward to the new school year – I have news – I am wrapping up SB Law at the end of January after nearly 30 years working in employment law & the education sector. I have been appointed by the government as a member of the Employment Relations Authority from 3 February.

My education law practice will be transferred to Heather Murdoch and Carol Grant my employment advocate is going to work for Heather’s law firm (Trollope & Co) – I attach Heather’s brochure and ask that you direct queries to her on education law matters and spread word about my departure (with ironic message that I do not want to see any school principals appear before me) – Heather has vast experience & will be a great help to principals and boards particularly dealing with OI Act requests / Privacy act / Ombudsman’s issues and the difficult parental complaints that arise.

Heather would also be good speaker for one of your regular meetings and should be contacted to discuss what topics would suit.

I just want to thank you and all principals for the support and referrals they have given me over the years (and entertainment!)
