Excluded and directed students - time for change?
The Executive's advocacy team wants to hear from tumuaki about their recent experiences with the processes and support related to excluded and directed students in their school.
The advocacy team's brief is to 'critique and challenge policies and systems to ensure that people, actions and ideas are valued across our membership'. We hear that there continue to be significant challenges posed to schools in supporting students who are excluded and subsequently directed elsewhere. We are keen to gather some 'on the ground' information as a way of beginning to explore this further.
