WINZ is on the Move

School Office —

On the 1 May South Dunedin Work and Income is moving.

Work and Income South Dunedin are on the move to a new location, with a new name, Te Kāika Service Centre located at Te Kāika Wellbeing Hub (the Hub) at 25 College Street, Caversham.

You may have had information about this already, but we wanted to make sure everyone has details about the move and the new site.

This move will see WINZ working in partnership with Te Kāika and Health New Zealand Te Whatu Ora and offers an exciting opportunity for our clients who will be able to access multiple services in one location.

WINZ will offer the full range of MSD services including housing, income and employment support from the Hub.

It’s going to be a big job to relocate, so the South Dunedin Service Centre will close at 2pm Wednesday 24 April and will only offer limited emergency service that day. It will reopen at the Hub on Wednesday 1 May.

If people need assistance while WINZ is moving you can call them on 0800 559 009 or 0800 552 002 for Seniors. Or use MyMSD.

Getting to the Hub

Te Kāika Wellbeing Hub is located next to the current Te Kāika Health Centre and can be found on the corner of Ranfurly and Playfair Streets.

The car park entrance is off Playfair Street and the main pedestrian entrance is from Ranfurly Street.

There is a main bus route (33) that drops off nearby.

There are also bike racks available. The site is fully accessible.

A shuttle service will be provided, the details are still being worked through but all updates will be posted on https://www.workandincome.govt.nz/south-dunedin
