Before reading the book we looked at the characters and hypothesised who we thought sank the boat and why. After reading it, Miss Autumn challenged us to create our own boats using only a piece of tinfoil.

We then tested our boats to see if they could float (which they all did) and once they were in the water we estimated how many teddy bears it would take to sink our boat. Titihuia's boat held 41 teddy bears! Rūma Kororā are excited about improving their designs and creating more boats later in the week.
