NZCAF Aerobics National Championships in Queenstown
Last weekend, our aerobics teams and individuals competed at the NZCAF National Championships in Queenstown. We arrived on Friday evening, ready for a full day of competition on Saturday.
On stage, our students gave energetic performances with true competitive spirit. Off stage, they showed outstanding sportsmanship, supporting all competitors and upholding Carisbrook School's values.
Sunday was just as exciting, with all our students advancing to the finals. Four routines made it through, making Saturday night a real celebration. After another early start, we competed in the finals and were thrilled with our results.
A big thank you to our coach, Destiny Carvell, for her dedication, and to Olivia Leonard for ensuring our students looked fantastic. We’re also grateful to the parents and whānau who supported us throughout the weekend.
We’re incredibly proud of how our students represented Carisbrook School and look forward to what comes next. Here are the results:
Intermediate Division 4 Individual: Ciara de Groot Green – 7th
Intermediate Division 4 Team: Laura Scott and Mackenzie Hepburn – 4th
U14 FISAF Individual Male: John Samson – 1st
U14 Division 3 Team: Ciara and John – 2nd (Most Promising Team)
U14 Fitness Team: Hannah Montana – 2nd
We also as a larger group received the Sportsmanship Cup for demonstrating great manners, positivity, and embodying Carisbrook School’s spirit.
Thanks,
Destiny
