Principal’s Message - 24th of March 2023
Our Triple R’s
That’s right, I don’t mean Reading, ‘Riting and ‘Rithmatic?! I mean Respect, Resilience and Responsibility!!
This week I want to touch on one of the three, Responsibility
Our students may not realise it yet, but they are growing up and becoming more responsible every day. Responsibility is an important trait that will help them succeed in school and also in life. Being responsible means doing what they are supposed to do, when they are supposed to, and doing it to the best of their ability.
In school, responsibility means coming to class prepared with any homework completed and gear ready for the day. It means paying attention to the teacher so you can remember what should be learned.
When we are responsible, we are more likely to achieve and feel good about ourselves.
It means taking care of belongings and treating them with respect. We should be careful with our school stationery, books, and bag. Cleaning up after ourselves both in the classroom and in the playground. When we show responsibility for our belongings, we are setting a good example for others to follow.
Lastly, responsibility means being a good friend and a good citizen. We should always treat others with kindness and respect, and be willing to lend a helping hand when it’s needed. Follow the rules in our kura and also in our community.
When we are responsible, we are helping to create a better world for everyone. Take pride in being responsible, and let your actions inspire others to do the same!
